About VTrans and GAP Technical Assistance

VTrans is Virginia's statewide multimodal transportation plan that establishes the vision and goals for transportation in the Commonwealth.
The Growth and Accessibility Planning Technical Assistance (GAP-TA) program provides support to Virginia localities for transportation planning activities.
Both are administered by the Office of Intermodal Planning and Investment (OIPI) within the Office of the Secretary of Transportation. The Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) provides governance and oversees transportation funding, statewide planning, project selection, and other initiatives in Virginia.
